The Mission of Grace Memorial Episcopal Church is to worship God joyfully; to be open and inclusive in our words and actions; to trust and support each other; and to serve our community with our time and resources.
Grace Memorial is a member of the Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia, headed by the Bishop, The Rt. Rev. Mark Bourlakas. Our diocese is a member of the national church, the Episcopal Church of the United States of America, which is led by the Presiding Bishop, the Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori. The national church is a part of the world-wide Anglican Communion, led by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd. Rowan Williams.
The Diocese of Southwestern Virginia is “linked” with the Diocese of Bradford in England and the Episcopal Church of Sudan. Grace Memorial is linked with two Bradford parishes: St. Saviour in Harden and St. Matthew in Wilsden. Click here for an explanation of our links with Bradford and Sudan.
